Program Description

A.M. Training Institute’s Certified Medication Aide (CMA) program prepares medical assistants who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession. CMA’s are the only allied health professionals specifically trained to work in ambulatory settings, such as physicians’ offices, clinics and group practices. As multiskilled allied health team members, medical assistants perform a variety of administrative and clinical procedures in these settings.

Program Entry Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Complete application and enrollment form
  • Submit payment prior to taking the online course.
  • Pass background check
  • CNA License (Cannot be expired)
  • ID (DRIVERS LICENSE)
  • SOCIAL SECURITY CARD
  • Physical Form (see attached form)
  • COVID vaccine card or exemption form
  • TB Screening (EXPIRES YEARLY UNLES IT’S A CHEST XRAY)
  • HEPB/MMR/VARICELLA VACCINE RECORDS 
  • CPR CERTIFICATION (NEEDS TO BE WITHIN 2 YEARS)
  • DEPENDENT ADULT ABUSE CERTIFICATE (NEEDS TO BE WITHIN 3 YEARS)
